Modernized in Place. Whatever the Nameplate.

Emerald delivers nationwide field service and controls modernization for packaging equipment, on all major brands.

Your machine still fits the line, the footprint, and the product. The parts are obsolete, the guarding is behind current standard, and the changeover takes too long. We upgrade it in place: servo-driven motion, modern controls, current safety, whoever built it.

Modernize or Buy New?

Same controls. Same servo motion. Same safety standards. A third of the wait and half the price.

Buying new means paying full price, waiting most of a year, and tearing up your line to fit a machine your crew has never run. Modernizing gets you the same technology for 30–60% of the cost, and your machine is back in production in 8–12 weeks.

This isn’t a repair. It’s a new machine in the frame you already own.

We rip out obsolete PLCs, drives and pneumatics and replace them with current, off-the-shelf parts you can buy anywhere. Your new panels are built and UL 508A listed in our shop while your line keeps running. Then we install them during the shutdown you already have on the calendar.

We walk your floor and assess risk before we quote. When we leave, the machine is commissioned and your operators know how to run it.

What we modernize
  • PLC, HMI and safety upgrades
  • Pneumatic-to-servo conversions
  • New guarding, sensors and safety compliance
  • Panels and wiring
  • Throughput tuning
  • Center-lining for faster changeovers
  • OEE data, RFID and HMI security
  • Plant PLC upgrades in the same project

Panel Rebuild. Before and After.

Control-panel work, photographed before and after.

Three before/after pairs. The first image in each pair is how it came to us. The second is how it went back.

Before
Control panel enclosure before rebuild, with unbundled wiring running loose across the backplane.
After
New control enclosure after rebuild, with components mounted on a subpanel and all wiring run in slotted duct.
Control panel rebuild: enclosure
Before
Legacy PLC rack before rebuild, mounted on the original backplane with loose wiring across it.
After
New subpanel after rebuild, with the replacement rack mounted and wiring run in duct.

Before
Terminal strips before rebuild, with wire-marked conductors landed across them and loose bundles looping above.
After
Terminal strips after rebuild, with conductors landed in ordered rows and run into duct.

Scoped on Site. Installed on Schedule.

Five steps from walk-through to production.

Every rebuild starts with the machine in front of us and ends with your team able to run and maintain it. The install runs inside a shutdown you already planned. The rebuild adds no unscheduled downtime of its own.

1. Site assessment

We walk the machine and the line, and run a risk assessment on the current guarding and controls.

2. Scope and quote

You get the rebuild scope and the quote.

3. Panel build off-site

New panels are built and wired before the shutdown. UL 508A listed panel work.

4. Install during your planned shutdown

Field service crew on site; the machine stays in place.

5. Start-up and hand-off

Commissioning and operator hand-off.

Any Machine on the Line. Any Nameplate.

We are not tied to one platform, so the machine's badge does not decide whether we can rebuild it. If it runs cases, cartons, bags, film, or pallets, it is in scope, and so are the plant PLCs above it.

Equipment, all major brands:
Case packers, case erectors and case sealers
Carton erectors and carton sealers
Baggers / VFFS
Palletizers
Thermoformers
Plant PLC controls

Independent and Accountable.

Four reasons a rebuild is worth scoping before a replacement quote.

Independent

Not tied to one platform. We rebuild equipment from all major brands.

Experienced

Rebuilt equipment originally built by all major brands.

Nationwide

Pacific Northwest based, traveling anywhere in the country.

Accountable

One point of contact for field service, rebuild, and long-term support.

Rebuilds Start With a Conversation.

Scoping needs three things: the machine, the OEM, and your next shutdown window.
